The Community Organization Grant Committee is composed of 10 members appointed by the City Council.
The committee reviews Community Organization Grant applications, interviews applicants and allocates funding to qualified nonprofit organizations that provide services that enhance the quality of life for the residents of the City of Virginia Beach.
The members consist of one resident at large (appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council), four residents at large, one member of City Council, the director of Public Health (or a qualified designee) and representatives from the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, United Way of South Hampton Roads and Public Library Board.
